About Department

The department started UG classes in 1956 and PG classes from 1973. There are two specialization in PG course - Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Besides PG classes the faculty members are actively engaged in research work for Ph.D. degree.
The department has well equipped Research Laboratory.

Achievements

Many Scholars from the department are holding very high position in the field of research working in many Pharmaceautical companies and in the field of education.
More than 80 students have been awarded Ph.D. degree under the supervision of faculty members. More than 200 papers have been already published in national and international Journals. The faculty members regularly attend Seminars/ Conferences/Symposium/ Workshops. Department has successfully completed one Major research project and 10 minor research projects financed by UGC.
